PETRONAS Energy Canada Fuels Community Resilience in the North Peace
At the North Peace Community Foundation (NPCF), partnerships with purpose drive change. One of the most meaningful examples of this is the collaboration between NPCF and PETRONAS Energy Canada, whose visionary investment in community philanthropy is creating lasting impact through the PETRONAS Sustainable Communities Fund.
Launched in 2022, the PETRONAS Community Fund is one of the founding funds within NPCF’s Strong Roots endowment program. PETRONAS’ gift was not just financial; it was a commitment to the long-term wellbeing of the people and communities across the North Peace region. The Fund contributes annually to initiatives that strengthen social connection, local capacity, and regional resiliency.
Giving Back Where It Matters

Through the 2025 Strong Roots granting cycle, the PETRONAS Sustainable Communities Fund helped make possible local programs that inspire connection, inclusion, and community-based solutions. From youth programs, to cultural programming, and strengthening capacity in the non-profit sector, this fund is growing solutions that are as rooted as the region itself.
