NPCF Celebrates the Fulfillment of the PETRONAS Sustainable Community Fund
The North Peace Community Foundation (NPCF) is proud to celebrate the fulfillment of PETRONAS Canada’s $500,000 commitment to the PETRONAS Sustainable Community Fund first announced in 2022. This significant milestone reflects an investment in the long-term strength and sustainability of communities throughout the North Peace and Northern Rockies regions.
While the original pledge has now been fully realized, the impact of the Fund is just beginning. Established as an endowment, the PETRONAS Sustainable Community Fund will continue to generate annual grant funding for local charities and non-profit organizations for generations to come.
The Fund currently generates approximately $25,000 in annual grants, with that impact expected to grow over time as the endowment continues to generate returns and expands its capacity to support community initiatives. Funding is awarded through NPCF's Strong Roots Granting Program, which is currently accepting applications until October 31, 2026.
